Secure the trash bag by fitting the removable liner ring over the top edge of the bag and into the can.    To open the lid, simply wave your hand or an object within the sensor's range (approximately 6-10 inches above the sensor). The lid will open automatically. It will remain open for a few seconds and then close softly. The delay sensing technology helps prevent unnecessary opening from pets, children, or casual movement nearby.
