Before first use, you will need to set up your User PIN. The datAshur PRO requires a 7-15 digit PIN for authentication.

2.1 Setting the User PIN

1. Press and hold the SHIFT key (bottom right button) for approximately one second to awaken the drive. The red LED will appear.
2. Press the KEY button (bottom left button) once. The green and blue LEDs will flash together.
3. Enter your desired 7-15 digit User PIN on the keypad.
4. Press the KEY button again to confirm your PIN. The green LED will flash, indicating successful PIN setup.

Once the PIN is set, the drive is ready for use. Remember your PIN, as incorrect attempts can lead to data loss.

3. Operating the datAshur PRO

3.1 Unlocking the Drive

1. Press and hold the SHIFT key (bottom right button) for approximately one second. The red LED will appear.
2. Press the KEY button (bottom left button) once. The green and blue LEDs will flash together.
3. Enter your 7-15 digit User PIN.
4. Press the KEY button again. The green LED will begin to flash.
5. You now have 30 seconds to insert the datAshur PRO drive into a USB port on your device. The green LED will turn solid, indicating the drive is unlocked and ready for use.

8.1 Forgotten PIN

If you forget your User PIN, the drive has a brute force hack defense mechanism. After 10 consecutive incorrect PIN entries, the encryption key will be deleted, and all data on the drive will be permanently lost. The device will revert to factory default settings and will need to be formatted before further use. There is no recovery option for forgotten PINs to maintain maximum security.
