1. Отпакување и склопување

1. Unfold the lower handlebar section and secure it in place.
2. Attach the upper handlebar section to the lower section using the provided bolts and knobs. Ensure the cables are not pinched.

Assemble the grass bag according to the instructions provided with the bag components. Once assembled, hook the grass bag onto the rear of the mower, ensuring it is securely seated.

Mulching Plug / Rear Deflector Installation

Depending on your desired mowing method:

• For Rear Discharge (without bag): Ensure the mulching plug is removed and the rear deflector is in place.
• For Collection: Remove the mulching plug and attach the grass bag.

1. Ensure the engine is cool and the lawnmower is on a level surface.
2. Use fresh, clean unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use E85 fuel.
3. Carefully pour fuel into the fuel tank, avoiding spills. Do not fill the tank completely; leave some space for expansion.

The MTD Smart 46 SPO features a centralized cutting height adjustment with 7 positions, from 25 mm to 75 mm.

3. Starting the Engine (Manual Starter)

3. Move the throttle lever (if present) to the "FAST" or "START" position.

5. Pull the starter rope with a smooth, continuous motion until the engine starts. Do not let the rope snap back; guide it gently.
6. Once the engine starts, release the starter rope and allow the engine to warm up for a few moments.

Caution: Keep hands and feet clear of the cutting deck when starting the engine.

Attach the 60-liter grass bag. This method collects clippings for disposal or composting, leaving a clean lawn.

Insert the mulching plug. Mulching finely chops grass clippings and returns them to the lawn as natural fertilizer. This is ideal for frequent mowing of shorter grass.

Remove the grass bag and mulching plug, ensuring the rear deflector is in place. This method discharges clippings directly onto the lawn from the rear, suitable for taller grass where collection or mulching is not desired.

For best results, mow when the grass is dry. Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time. Overlap cutting swaths slightly to ensure an even cut.

1. Release the operator presence control bar (if equipped).
2. Move the throttle lever to the "STOP" or "OFF" position.
3. Wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before approaching the mower.

Inspect and clean the spark plug annually or every 50 hours. Replace if electrodes are worn or pitted. Ensure correct gap setting.

Clean or replace the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance and increase fuel consumption.

4. Складирање

For seasonal storage, prepare your lawnmower as follows:
