Most RIEDEL glasses are dishwasher safe and can withstand at least 1,000 cycles when loaded properly. However, glasses explicitly labeled 'hand wash only' or 'not dishwasher safe' on the packaging must be washed by hand.
It is best to rinse decanters with warm water immediately after use. For tough stains, use white vinegar or cleaning beads. Avoid using dish soap if possible, as it can be difficult to remove completely.
Cloudiness is often caused by lime deposits or detergent residue, which can be removed with white vinegar. If the cloudiness is due to surface corrosion (rare but possible in harsh conditions), it cannot be removed.
Select a low-temperature cycle, ideally between 50°C and 55°C, or use a dedicated glass washing cycle if your dishwasher has one.
