4.1. Tools and Materials Required (Not Included)

3. Clear Shingles: Carefully lift and loosen shingles around the opening to allow the flashing of the roof cap to slide underneath. Avoid damaging shingles.

4.3. Mounting the Roof Cap

1. Position the Roof Cap: Slide the flashing of the roof cap underneath the lifted shingles, ensuring the vent opening aligns with the hole in the roof. The cap should be oriented so the exhaust opening faces away from prevailing winds.

4.4. Connecting Ductwork

4. Insulate Ducting (Optional but Recommended): In humid climates, insulating the ducting can help prevent condensation buildup.

When the exhaust fan is activated, it pushes air through the connected ductwork and out through the roof cap.
