The Thule Load Straps Model 521 are designed for securely fastening gear to roof mount racks. Each strap measures 9 feet in length and is constructed from heavy-duty, UV-resistant nylon webbing. The straps feature steel cam-action buckles for reliable tensioning and protective Buckle Bumpers that fit over the buckles to prevent scratching of both the vehicle and the secured load. This product includes two 9-foot straps.

Before use, ensure both straps are free from twists or damage. Identify the cam buckle end and the free end of each strap. The Buckle Bumper should be positioned over the cam buckle to protect surfaces.
Упатства за работа
- 1. Position Load: Place the item(s) to be secured onto the roof rack according to your rack system's instructions and weight limits.
- 2. Route Strap: Drape one strap over the load and under the roof rack bars. Ensure the strap is not twisted.
- 3. Engage Buckle: Feed the free end of the strap through the cam buckle. The strap should pass through the buckle's opening, under the cam lever, and out the other side.
- 4. Tension Strap: Pull the free end of the strap firmly to tighten it around the load. The cam buckle's teeth will grip the strap, preventing it from slipping. Ensure the load is secure and does not shift.
- 5. Secure Excess Strap: Tie off any excess strap length to prevent it from flapping during transit. A simple knot or loop around the main strap can be used.
- 6. Повторете: Use the second strap to secure the load at another point, ensuring even distribution of tension and stability.

Store straps in a dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use to prolong their lifespan. Do not use damaged straps.
Решавање проблеми
- Strap Not Holding Tension: Ensure the strap is correctly threaded through the cam buckle and the cam lever is fully engaged. Check for any debris in the buckle mechanism.
- Buckle Scratching Vehicle/Load: Verify that the protective Buckle Bumper is properly seated over the cam buckle before tensioning the strap.
- Strap Twisting: Always ensure the strap is flat and untwisted before and during tensioning to maintain maximum strength and prevent uneven pressure on the load.
