3.1 Installing the Recline Base
- Place the Recline Base on the vehicle seat in the desired rear-facing position.
- Extend the LATCH connectors from the base and attach them to your vehicle's lower anchor bars. Ensure a secure connection.
- Press down firmly on the base while tightening the LATCH strap until the base moves no more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Adjust the recline angle of the base to one of the 4 available positions to ensure the infant is at the correct angle for their age and weight. Refer to the level indicator on the base.
- Extend the load leg to the vehicle floor, ensuring it is firmly in place and provides stability.
3.2 Attaching the Car Seat to the Base
- Align the car seat with the Recline Base.
- Lower the car seat onto the base until it clicks securely into place. Listen for an audible click.
- Verify that the car seat is firmly attached to the base by gently pulling upwards on the car seat handle.
