4.1 Installation on Standard Duplex Outlets

1. Ensure the wall outlet is powered off at the circuit breaker before installation.
2. Plug the TROND outlet extender directly into the top receptacle of a standard duplex wall outlet.
3. Locate the central screw hole on the extender.
4. Insert the provided mounting screw into the hole and tighten it to secure the extender firmly to the wall outlet. This prevents accidental unplugging.

4.2 Installation on USB or GFCI Outlets

If installing the extender into a USB or GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) receptacle, the small white plastic stability rod on the back of the extender may need to be removed. This rod is designed for standard outlets to enhance stability. Carefully cut off the plastic rod if it interferes with proper seating in USB or GFCI outlets.
