1. Remove all packaging materials from the robot and the auto-emptying base.
2. Place the auto-emptying base against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1.5 meters (5 feet) in front and 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) on either side.
3. Connect the power cord to the base and plug it into a wall outlet. Ensure the base is powered on.
